Dr. Caruso is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified sex therapist who has an in-depth understanding of human behavior, couple dynamics, and sexual functioning. With over 30 years of experience in mental health, she brings insights and warmth to her work with individuals and couples. Dr. Caruso first established her practice in Richmond in 1995 to treat general psychological, emotional, and relationship issues in a safe and relaxed environment. Over the course of her work, Dr. Caruso realized that some of her clients needed to focus more specifically on the sexual dimension of their lives. After obtaining additional education and training, Dr. Caruso was certified to practice sex therapy by The American Association of Sexuality, Counselors, and Therapists. Today, she is one of the most experienced certified sex therapist in the Richmond area and treats sexual difficulties with clients of all orientations. Dr. Caruso is delighted to add sex therapy to the services that she provides and believes that her patients benefit from her wide variety of clinical experiences and academic pursuits.
